Boyd Gaming is no stranger to giving back. Recently, Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City team members walked for a worthy cause during the annual Dream Big Family Festival + Walk. Hosted by Children’s Mercy Kansas City, the family-friendly event raises funds to provide answers, hope and care to young patients receiving treatment, as well as their loved ones.

Several Ameristar Kansas City team members have a strong connection with Children’s Mercy, either having personal experiences with the hospital or knowing someone touched by their care. Because of this relationship, nearly 100 team members along with their family members rallied with the community on a one-mile walk around the downtown Kansas City area.

Team members joined over 150 other teams for the duration of the walk. Afterwards, the fun continued with a festival complete with face painting, a drum safari, balloon artists and a silent disco.

Thank you, Ameristar Kansas City for showing up for kids in the community and encouraging us all to dream big! With your help, Children’s Mercy raised $273,500 with $10,000 coming directly from the casino-resort.
